Agfa Graphics Introduces :Energy Next-Generation Thermal Plate Line.
Agfa Graphics announced today that it will launch a new range of three thermal plates at Ipex (Birmingham, UK, 4-11 April). :Energy, :Energy Marathon and :Energy Elite target the largest segment of today's offset plate market - the global market for thermal plates is estimated to be over 200 million sq.m/year business in 2006.

Agfa Graphics to Launch Violet Laser :Avalon CtP System at Ipex.
Agfa Graphics today announced a violet-laser addition to its :Avalon platesetter range. The new :Avalon LF Violet incorporates Violet technology into a state-of-the art external-drum platesetter. The new model uses a variation on Agfa's HD imager found in the :Avalon thermal engines with a proprietary imaging technique to provide the high image contrast needed for high-speed violet plates.

Agfa Graphics Boosts Productivity and Flexibility of B2 Format CtP Systems.
Agfa Graphics announced today that it will launch the next generation of its :Acento and :Palladio 4-up or B2-format computer-to-plate systems at Ipex in Birmingham (4-11 April 2006). Agfa's entry-level CtP units are typically bundled with the Prime version of :ApogeeX 3.0 prepress production software, which is also new at Ipex.
